The cult animated TV series South Park fights back against departed star Isaac Hayes and his Scientology beliefs by killing off his character Chef in the first episode of the new season. Chef is brainwashed by the “Super Adventure Club”, (a thinly veiled reference to Scientology),� then repeatedly tells the children that he wants to “make sweet love” to them, before falling off a bridge,� being burned, stabbed, mauled by a lion, and then a grizzly bear!

At his funeral, one of the children says: “A lot of us don’t agree with the choices the Chef has made in the last few days. Some of us feel hurt and confused that he seemed to turn his back on us. But we can’t let the events of the past few weeks take away the memories of how Chef made us smile.”

A� file has surfaced that proposes to be the “original” Bukit Batok video, although many still maintain that it was a hoax all along. The .3gp file, (filmed on a 3G camera phone), is less than a minute long, very dark, and with extreamly poor sound quality, featuring a couple having sex on a park bench in Bukit Batok, a neighbourhood in the city-state of Singapore.

One blogger wrote, “I can only see some parts, with the man’s legs always showing. A few seconds after you can actually see the girl performing oral sex as she tries to hide her face. Then the guy mumbled something I can’t really understand even with my speakers blasted full.“

Well Singapore is officially the home of the leaked sex video, (apparently 13%� of all Singaporeans are said to� have sex in front of a camera), but� after Tammy NYP there’s a new� clip on the block, and this� one might not even exist! Everyone is searching for the “Bukit Batok video”, which alledgedly shows two people� getting it on in� a park, but rummor has it that it’s a hoax. Some guy flooded the search engines with requests for “Bukit Batok Video”� until it got on to� Technorati’s top searches list,� and from there on more and more people start searching for it, pushing it right up to the no.1 spot! Happy hunting, guys…�

The blogosphere is buzzing today with rumors that Microsoft are� going to announce a March 9th launch date for their mysterious new handheld device codenamed “Origami”, a tablet-like system capable of doing everything from playing music and multimedia content, to accessing� the web, and playing exclusive videogames like Halo.� It is unclear as yet whether this product will be marketed as a handheld gaming device or a mobile/PDA device like Blackberry.

Apple’s Steve Jobs unveiled the new iPod Hi-Fi on Tuesday, and this one promises to pack the sonic punch that other models were missing. Apple has been selling various iPod stereo systems in it’s stores for some years, but all have been a bit on the small side, and lacking in real power and volume. But this one looks different. Think highly stylized futuristic speaker crossed with the iPod innovative design aesthetic and you’ll have a pretty good idea what it looks like. Let’s hope it sounds as good as it looks!

The big story in the blogs this week was the Tammy NYP Video. Apparently a 17yr old cheerleader from� Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore, filmed herself and her� 21-year-old boyfriend having sex on her cell phone. The phone was then duly stolen by a jealous friend and the 4.8 Mb movie, (described as “run-of-the-mill homemade porn”), uploaded onto the internet and mass e-mailed to lecturers and students� at the school.

Taking the “blogosphere” by storm and knocking Apple’s new hardware announcements off the 1st and 2nd spots on Technorati, the story got more searches than the Olympics, the resumption of Iran’s Uranium Enrichment program, and Dick Cheney’s hunting habits, combine! They’re even selling� bootleg� DVDs and t-shirts with the� slogan “I F@$#d NYP Tammy” on street corners. The� Singaporean government is� trying to determine who broadcast the tape out to the internet, while� figuring out a punishment for the 21 year old boyfriend who is guilty of corrupting the morals of an underage girl.
